Long-Term Results of the Bentall Operation versus Separate Replacement of the Ascending Aorta and Aortic Valve

The Bentall procedure and separate replacement of the ascending aorta and aortic valve for ascending aorta aneurysm and aortic valve disease were compared with regard to their long-term results, and risk factors were analyzed. Separate replacement carries a higher risk of late complications on the remaining ascending aorta.
