Valve-Sparing Aortic Root Remodeling for Pulmonary Autograft Aneurysm
Claudia Schmidtke MD, Ulrich Stierle MD, Hans-H. Sievers MD

The case is reported of a 42-year-old patient who underwent a Ross procedure in 1991, using the freestanding root technique. The development of dilation of the autograft root and progressive aortic regurgitation necessitated reoperation after 10 years. A valve-sparing autograft root remodeling was performed with excellent resultant valve function.
