Asymmetric Primary Ringless Repair of Mitral Valve Endocarditis: A Case Report

A technique of ringless annuloplasty and bileaflet valve repair is described in the setting of mitral valve endocarditis. This method incorporates resection of the infected portions of the valve combined with reduction of the annular size. Apart from sutures, no prosthetic material is utilized in the mitral valve repair. This technique may be a valid treatment option for early intervention in mitral endocarditis.
