This study reported the first clinical experience with the ‘Bioglis’ valve in surgical treatment of Ebstein’s anomaly. The valve was made from hepatic Glisson’s capsule harvested from bull calves. Twelve consecutive patients with Ebstein’s anomaly who underwent surgical repair with the ‘Bioglis’ valve between 1997 and 1999 were reviewed. The short-term outcome of surgery was good, and echocardiography demonstrated good function of the prosthesis in all cases.
