Treatment of Tricuspid Valve Endocarditis in HIV-Infected Drug Addicts

Five drug addicts underwent implantation of a cryopreserved mitral homograft for intractable infective endocarditis of the aortic valve with no early mortality. A six-year follow up has confirmed the ability to control active infection. Late episodes can be managed conservatively.
