Spontaneous Native Aortic Valve Thrombosis

This report describes a patient presenting with severe calcified aortic stenosis and a history of thromboembolism. Urgent surgery, performed using a minimally invasive approach, showed a thrombotic mass attached to the ventricular aspect of the severely stenotic valve. The patient did not present with any clotting disorder.
