What Drives Us:

The Journal of Heart Valve Disease is fueled by a community of brilliant minds – researchers, healthcare professionals, students, and patients – all connected by a shared goal: unraveling the mysteries of heart valve diseases. We understand that collaborative efforts and open dialogue are essential for progress.

What's New?

As of December 15, 2023, we have officially transitioned to an open-access model. This means that all our articles are now accessible to anyone with an internet connection, free of charge. We invite you to explore our repository of knowledge, from groundbreaking research to insightful reviews, without the hindrance of paywalls.

Our Commitment:

We remain steadfast in upholding the highest standards of peer review. Our editorial board comprises experts dedicated to ensuring the quality, accuracy, and relevance of the research we publish. The move to open access enables us to uphold these standards while facilitating quicker dissemination of critical information.

Your Role:

Whether you're a seasoned researcher, a healthcare practitioner, a student eager to learn, or an individual impacted by heart valve diseases, you play a crucial role in our community. Your engagement, feedback, and contributions are the driving force behind our collective journey.

Aim:

The primary aim of the Journal of Heart Valve Disease is to serve as a leading platform for the dissemination of high-quality, innovative research and advancements in the field of heart valve diseases. We are dedicated to fostering scientific exploration, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and contributing to the global knowledge base in cardiovascular medicine.

Scope:

The Journal of Heart Valve Disease encompasses a wide range of topics related to heart valve disorders, including but not limited to:

- Pathophysiology and Etiology: Exploring the underlying mechanisms, causes, and risk factors associated with heart valve diseases to enhance our understanding of disease initiation and progression.

- Diagnostic Modalities: Investigating novel diagnostic techniques, imaging modalities, and biomarkers for accurate and timely detection of heart valve disorders.

- Medical and Surgical Interventions: Publishing research on both medical and surgical interventions, including pharmacological therapies, minimally invasive procedures, and surgical techniques aimed at improving patient outcomes.

- Biomechanics and Engineering: Addressing the biomechanical aspects of heart valve function, as well as research in tissue engineering, biomaterials, and prosthetic devices, to advance the development of innovative solutions.

- Clinical Trials and Outcomes: Presenting findings from clinical trials, observational studies, and outcome assessments to guide evidence-based clinical practice and improve patient care.

- Rehabilitation and Patient Management: Exploring strategies for the rehabilitation and long-term management of patients with heart valve diseases, with a focus on improving their quality of life.

- Epidemiology and Public Health: Investigating the epidemiological trends of heart valve diseases and addressing public health challenges associated with their prevalence, prevention, and management.

- Multidisciplinary Research: Encouraging interdisciplinary collaborations by accepting contributions from cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, radiologists, bioengineers, and other professionals involved in heart valve disease research.

The Journal of Heart Valve Disease is committed to maintaining the highest standards of editorial integrity, peer review, and ethical conduct.
