Abstract

Stem cell therapy offers promising potential for heart valve regeneration, presenting an innovative approach to addressing valve-related pathologies and limitations of current prosthetic and bioprosthetic valves. This review explores the recent advancements in stem cell-based strategies for heart valve regeneration, including various stem cell sources, tissue engineering techniques, and preclinical and clinical outcomes. We highlight the challenges and future directions in this rapidly evolving field.
