Abstract

Endocarditis is a serious and potentially life-threatening condition that affects the inner lining of the heart (endocardium) and heart valves. It is particularly prevalent in individuals with preexisting heart valve diseases, posing significant challenges in clinical management. This research article reviews the risk factors associated with endocarditis in patients with heart valve disease and explores effective preventive strategies. Understanding these risk factors and adopting preventive measures is crucial to minimizing the incidence and improving patient outcomes.
